He has received global appreciation and has a great following, whatever type of show he is involved in. He has received several recognitions right from his early teens, like the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Astana Vidwan citation, Silver flute Award from the Music Academy Chennai, All India Radio competition Award in 1977 etc.

He has been performing South Indian Classical solo flute concert ever since he was 16 years of age, for over 30 years now, each concert being a sculpture in sound, and each one offering a wonderful experience for both connoisseur and the layman alike.

He is the consummate artiste wherever he plays, and his grounding in the classical art form of India has permeated his body and soul and exudes through his musical outpourings, fuelled by his creativity channelled from the universal powers.
